Here's how we do it!
​Our first step includes identifying the type of stone we’ll be cleaning or restoring, and whether or not there is a sealer present. A certified crew member will provide a FREE on-site assessment to determine the correct course or procedure for restoring your natural stone floor.
Stone floors are porous to varying degrees and will most likely have a water-repellent sealer that will need removal. Before we apply our coatings removal solution, we mask off any areas that have the potential to come into contact with the coatings stripper.
After everything has been protected & masked off, we will apply the proper stripping solution to the stone floor, and allow it a dwell time of 15-20 minutes, so that the stripping agent can emulsify the old sealer - turning it into a liquid that can be safely removed without damaging the stone.
Really porous areas such as the grout joints will need EXTRA attention, and usually require special detailing brushes by hand. Perimeters and parts of the floor that are close to baseboards, cabinets, etc. are also detailed by hand to prevent the machines from coming to close them.
Now, we use cylindrical power brushes, and industrial floor scrubbers to thoroughly agitate the sealer and remove it from the surface of the stone. This turns the old sealer into a greyish/white sludge that will have to be rinsed & extracted with hard surface cleaning machines.
After the sealer has been broken down into a slurry that can be safely removed, we use the TURBO-HYBRID TH40 to rinse & extract the stone surface, leaving a residue-free floor that’s ph neutral & ready for sealing.
When the floors have completely dried out we will apply your choice of satin or gloss sealant that will protect your stone from spills & accidents, and create an easily maintainable surface.
Note: Concrete resurfacing is not an easy task. This is a job that can be done by our expert contractors.

They can also easily show or absorb any cooking oil that has been spilled on the floor, presenting darker spots that are difficult to clean. If you’re looking for products to clean your natural stone surfaces, make sure they are neutral ph based cleaners. neutral cleaners won't harm your stones and will reduce the use of chemicals around the house. Sealers are meant to seal the stone. That is, they prevent liquids and oils from getting inside of it. It also helps keep dirt or grease on top of the stone so it can be easily cleaned off. If you use an acidic cleaner on the stone, it will weaken your sealant over time.
